Ghatghar

Ghatghar is a picturesque spot, 20 km away from Bhandardara. Being the last stop from Junnar, it is the base village of the Jeevdhan Fort. The Ghatghar Pumped Storage Scheme, India's first 84 m high Roller Compacted Concrete Dam, on the river Pravara, is at Ghatghar.

You can also trek to Alangad, a hill fort about 6 hrs journeys from here. The nearest airport is at Mumbai. Nearest railway station is Asamgaon Railway Station on Mumbai-Bhusawal broadgauge line.
