Gharachon




Situated in Sangrur District of Punjab, Gharachon is a scenic village which lies 11 km east of Sangrur on the Sunam-Patiala road. It is 10 km south-west of Bhawanigarh.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib had visited this village, which made it sacred. This beautiful village is covered with green fields. The village also holds a Gurdwara, which has been built in memory of the visit of the Guru. A large fair known as ‘Mela Kuti’ is celebrated here for three days during the months of February-March, attracting hundreds of people, even from long distances. Shaheed Police Memorial Gate is another attraction here.

Sunam Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Nearest airport is Ludhiana Airport.
