Established in 1992 by Thakur Khem Singh, the Ghanerao Safari Tours organizes horse riding trips in
Rajasthan. Pure-bred Marwari, half-bred or thoroughbred polo ponies can be chosen from the Ghanerao. Each horse has its own groom to take care of it during all night halts and at water stops along the ride. The saddlery is English or universal steel arch cavalry. The ride starts from the semi-desert zone near
Jodhpur, the capital of the erstwhile state of Marwar, menders through the Bishnoi tribal belt,
Aravalli hills and ends at Mewar, where the riders can explore the elaborately carved hill temples at
Ranakpur and historic forts at
Kumbhalgarh. Accommodation is arranged at classic heritage hotels.
