Gaurhati, also spelled Ghireti, is located in Hooghly District of West Bengal. It is about 3 km south of Bhadreswar, a taluk headquarters town of the district. Hooghly River flows in its eastern side. Dhopapukur and Baidyabati to the west, Champdani to the east and Palta in the south are the nearby places.
