Gaurangdih

Gaurangdih is a town located at the north-western part of Bardhaman District, very close to Panuria, in West Bengal. The industrial town of Asansol is 14 km to the south. Rupnarayanpur to the south, Churulia to the east and Salanpur to the south-west are the nearby places.

Barakar Temples, Chittaranjan and Kalyaneshwari Temple are some points of tourist interest. Maithon, a town in Jharkhand, famous for Maithon Dam is yet another attraction accessible from here.

Rupnarayanpur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
