Gargoti Mineral Museum is located near
Sinnar, about 30 km from
Nasik. It displays the mineral treasures of the earth varying in nature, shape, color and application. It has been rated as one of the best museums in the world for zeolites.
There is a separate section for displaying rare foreign minerals. Specimen of diamonds, cut stones, light green cubical apophyllite, crystals of yellow calcite, blue-green aquamarine and cavansite are some of the unique displays.
A souvenir shop selling mineral specimen, necklaces, lapidary items, post card pictures and posters is attached to the museum.
