Ganjigunte is located in Kolar District of Karnataka. It is around 15 km north of Chintamani and lies on State Highway 5 between Chintamani and Mittemari.

Kolar, the district headquarters, is about 44 km south of Ganjigunti. Kolar Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Bangalore International Airport is the nearest airport.
