Gangi

The last village in the Bhilangna valley, Gangi is situated at a height of 2,650 m above sea level. Attractively sited on terraces and surrounded by freshly-tilled fields of potato mounds and wheat, this village is still very much cut off from the rest of the world. The trek through this village offers a glimpse of the life style of the typical highlanders and their timeless tranquil rural life. Negi, Rawat and Rana are the dominant castes in the village. It is a good camping site and it is the summer abode for the villagers of Reeh, Nalan and Devkhuri.

The nearest railhead is at Rishikesh (156 km). Ghuttu is the last bus station, from there a trek of 10 km to Reeh and further 10 km trek leads to Gangi.
