Ganesha Ratha




Ganesh Ratha is delightful shrine situated at Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO Certified World Heritage site situated about 60 km from Chennai, in Tamil Nadu. Originally dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is now dedicated to Lord Ganesh.

This two-storied rectangular shrine is attributed to belong to Parameshvara Varman I (669-90). The temple features beautifully carved inscriptions listing the royal titles of Parameshvara Varman.
