Gandpa Gompa is situated at
Gandpa in
Leh District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 11 km away from
Thangra. The gompa is nestled on top of a rock, overlooking the snow-peaked mountains across the valley. This strong monastery has large images of
Buddha. Gandpa Gompa can be approached from Mahe,
Nyoma and
Nyagzu.
