Gandaulim




Gandaulim is a quaint and picturesque village located about 3 km from Old Goa in North Goa District. In the ancient period, it was a fortified village with prosperous profile. Main attraction is the famous Cumbarjua Canal which is popularly known as Crocodile Dundee. With numerous cashew, mango and teak trees, this place is an ideal destination for nature lovers. Majority of the people belong to the community of Gauddes. Rua das Flores (Road of Flowers) with a large number of sweet scented flowers is another attraction.

Surrounded by the island of Jua in the north and Cumbarjua and Marcela in the east, Gandaulim houses one of the ancient ports of Goa. The historic church of Sao Bras, built in 1563, is also worth visiting. Goa Airport is the nearest airport.
