Gajapipal




Gajapipal (Scindapsus officinalis) is an herb with perennial stem, distributed throughout India. It grows mainly in natural forests of Chhattisgarh.

This large epiphytic climber has aphrodisiac, carminative, diaphoretic and vermifuge properties. The dried fruits are useful in indigenous medicine as an aromatic adjunct to other medicines. The decoction of fruits is given in asthma and pneumonia.
