Gaggobua

Gaggobua is a historic village located about 27 km south-west of Amritsar. Guru Hargobind, the tenth Sikh Guru, had visited this village.

Lying along the Khemkaran Road, Gaggobua houses a famous Sikh shrine named Gurdwara Manji Sahib Chhevin Patshahi. This gurdwara was raised at the same spot where the guru is believed to have encamped. All major Sikh anniversaries are celebrated here with great fervor.

Gaggobua is also renowned as the birth place of a 19th century saint Baba Bir Singh. Two gurdwaras have been constructed in honor of the saint.

By road, Tarn Taran is 16 km from here. Amritsar International Airport is the nearest airport.
