Established in 1983, Fossil National Park is located in
Mandla District of
Madhya Pradesh. It spans over an area of 0.27 sq km and is about 13 km from
Shahpura.
Fossils of animals and plants of more than thousand years old are found here. These are preserved in the park in their natural conditions.
The best period to visit is November to May.
The nearest railhead and airport are at Jabalpur, about 87 km from the park.
