The fort of Rani Abbakka Devi is situated at
Kotepur, which is about 12 km from
Mangalore. This fort was the palace of Rani Abbakka Devi, who fought against the
Portuguese. This fort is now in a dilapidated state due to age and neglect. Nearby is the
Someshwara Temple dedicated to
Lord Shiva.
