Fort of Adka

Adkada Kote



Fort of Adka, also known as Adkada Kote, is an ancient fort on the banks of Shiriya River in Kasargod District. The fort lies between Uppala and Kumbla.

Spread over eight acres, the fort was built by Kannada kings and is the northern-most fort in Kerala. The fort offers a splendid view of the surrounding villages. An ancient Veerabhadra Temple is also seen near the fort.

The fort lies close to the National Highway 17.
