Feldspar

An important mineral in mica pegmatite, Feldspar is the basic raw material in making porcelain articles. Earthenware, sanitary ware, enameled bricks and opalescent glass are made from feldspar. Feldspar in combination with ground quartz is used to make abrasive wheels. For manufacturing electrodes, the mineral is used as flux coating on welding rods.
