Erwadi is Muslim pilgrim center in Ramanathapuram District,
Tamil Nadu. Numerous pilgrims from various Indian states, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore visit the village every year, to pay homage at the tomb of sultan Ibrahim Syed Aulia. The sultan's remains were brought here from Arabia via
Kannur, around 800 years ago. The Sandanakoodu festival in honor of this Muslim saint is celebrated in February–March.
Erwadi is 24 km from
Rameshwaram.
