Eka Raga Mela Veena

Eka Raga Mela Veena is a stringed instrument, which originated from the Yazh. It has movable frets. This veena can play a raga belonging to one mela at a time. When the mela changes, the frets have to be moved to handle the next raga. In contrast to this there is the sarvaragamela veena, in which the frets are fixed and consequently there are more frets.
