Edithanur in
Medak District is a prehistoric cult spot, which has cave paintings that date back to Neolithic times. Chain of granite hillocks with natural caves, tunnels and cavities are seen in northern and eastern side of the village. The rock paintings excavated here belong to the earlier periods.
Edithanur can be reached from Sangareddy, the district headquarters of Medak District, via Narasapur.
Hyderabad is around 50 km from Edithanur. Patancheru is an attraction nearby.
