Edappally




Located at a distance of 10 km from Ernakulam on National Highway 47, Edappally is one of the busiest towns in Ernakulam District. Earlier, it was a part of the princely kingdom of Elangalloor. A Catholic Church built in A D 593 is the main attraction here. The annual feast of St George, which falls on 23rd April, is celebrated with great pomp and festivity in the church. During the annual feast, people from far and near come to this church. The Museum of Kerala History which is is another interesting place to visit. Perandoor Temple at Edappally attracts devotees.

Cochin International Airport located 25 km from Kochi is the nearest airport to Edappally, and Ernakulam Town Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Frequent bus service is available from Ernakulam.
