Durgapur

Durgapur is a hamlet situated on the outskirts of Chandrapur, in Chandrapur District. It assumes prominence as being home to the Chandrapur Super Thermal Power Station. Durgapur is just 8 km to the north of Chandrapur, on the Tadoba Road. Pirli lies 35 km north-west of Durgapur.

Tadoba - Andharai Tiger Reserve, Bhamragarh Wildlife Sanctuary and Chaprala Wildlife Sanctuary are famous wildlife sanctuaries in the district. The natural trails at Tadoba and Moharli, and the Tadoba Museum are other interesting tourist spots worth visiting.

Sonegaon Airport and Chandrapur Railway Station serve Durgapur.
