Durgam Cheruvu is situated near
Shilparamam Crafts Village and
Hi-tech City at Madhapur. It lies behind the
Jubilee Hills and is surrounded by huge rocks. In the past, it had remained as a source of water supply to the
Golconda Fort. The lake, which covers an area of 63 acres, is an ideal place for outing. Boating is organized here by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department. Angling is also possible at Durgam Cheruvu. A cafeteria and refreshment center is located on the banks of the lake.
