Durga Temple

Located at OSAP (Orissa Special Armed Police) 2nd battalion premises of Jharsuguda, the temple of Goddess Durga has been built along the lines of the Pashupatinath Temple of Nepal. Situated at an altitude of 45 ft, this newly built temple with a beautiful pagoda has many marble idols of Goddess Durga, Lord Ganesh, Lord Kartikeya, Goddess Saraswati and Goddess Lakshmi. Apart from the main deities, other deities of cement and metalware around the temple add charm to the site.

Spanning over an area of around 3,200 sq m, the entire architecture of the temple is unique and visually alluring. It is easily accessible from Jharsuguda Railway Station, which is well connected to other parts of Orissa.
