Dummugudem




Dummugudem, on the banks of the Godavari River, is a village in Khamman District, Andhra Pradesh. Situated on the Bhadrachalam – Venkatapuram route, Dummugudem is to the north of Bhadrachalam.

According to legends, Lord Ram killed 14,000 demons presided by Kharadeoshana and the village is believed to have been built upon the ashes of these demons – hence the name.

Bhadrachalam Road Railway Station is the nearest major railhead. Hyderabad Airport is the nearest airport.
