Dumbur Reservoir is located in Tirthamukh, about 62 km from Udiapur
, in South Tripura District
. It is the main source of power generation in the district.
The Raima and Sharma rivers merge here to form the Gumti River, which in turn run over a stone with the shape of the head of the cow and create a natural waterfall.
The reservoir and its adjoining areas are noted for its picturesque views comprising tiny green islands and a charming lake. Boating and fishing facilities are available. A large variety of migratory birds can be seen here.
