Dumasar is situated to the south-east of the taluk headquarters, Rawatsar, in Hanumangarh District of Rajasthan. The nearest town is Ararki, just 4 km to the east. Ten kilometers to the south is Bachusar.
There is another town named Birkali about 12 km towards the west. The district headquarters, Hanumangarh, is easily accessible from Dumasar.
Baropal Lake, at the north-eastern part of the village of Baropal, is an ideal place for bird lovers. Bhatner Fort is a historically important place which attracts tourists.
