Founded by Shri Balbhadra Das Mahant, Dudhadhari Mutt is situated at
Raipur in
Chhattisgarh. He was a devotee of
Lord Hanuman.
According to legend, Shri Balbhadra Das started worshipping a piece of stone considering it as an idol of Lord Hanuman. Every day a cow, Surhi, would come and bathe the stone with milk. Mahantji stop eating food and started drinking this milk. Hence the name Dudhadhari (means food consisting of milk) exist.
