Droondu is a religious dance similar to Dharvedi. It is performed with great passion at the time of Jagaras or Shant. It is frequently seen during the Dussera season as well in Kullu District, Himachal Pradesh. Droondu depicts scenes from the battlefield or temples. The dancers typically form stupa shapes. Dancing in circles, suddenly lying down on the ground and striking various poses are some of the main features of this dance.
