Dr B R Ambedkar Open University, formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Open University, is a State University located at
Jubilee Hills in
Hyderabad.
Established in 1982, this university has a wide network of 152 study centers, which includes 13 post-graduate study centers, spread throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Offering courses in English, Telugu and Urdu, this university has research, post-graduate, post-graduate diploma, undergraduate, certificate and professional programs. Its organizational structure comprises directorates, branches and special cells.
The University adopts a multimedia approach for instruction, i.e., printed Programs material, radio lessons, audio and video lessons, contact - cum - counseling classes, winter and summer schools for intensive coaching by experts.
