Doraha




Doraha is a bewitching village which lies about 20 km east off Ludhiana. This village is associated with Guru Hargobind, the sixth Sikh Guru. Tradition has it that the Guru had halted here for a night during his journey from the Gwalior Fort.

Gurdwara Damdama Sahib Patshahi Chhevin is the main attraction. Built in 1932, this shrine contains a rectangular flat roofed hall. Doraha Sarai, a historical monument, is another attraction. Doraha Canal is a beautiful water body worth visiting.

Doraha has its own railway station. Ludhiana Airport is the nearest airport.
