Domoche is the annual prayer festival celebrated during winter in Ladakh region of Leh District. This ceremony was instituted by the kings of Ladakh on the pattern of the famous Mon-lam (or the Great Prayer) ceremony of Lhasa. Lamas for this festival are drawn from different monasteries of Leh on rotation basis.
During the festival, Lamas perform sacred dances. Other cultural programs including the folk dances are performed by the devotees.
