Domegaon

Domegaon is a small hamlet situated in the outlying Shrirampur taluk of Ahmednagar District in Maharashtra, on the banks of the River Godavari. It is nearly 7 km away from Bhokar on the Shrirampur-Aurangabad road. The main attractions here include famous Gurdwara Birdh Babaji, a Krishna temple, a mosque, a Buddhist Gompha, and Hanumanji Temple. The gurdwara is closely associated with a local faith that whenever the river Godavari gets flooded, the villagers take out the holy Granth kept inside the shrine and touch the water. Then the river moves back without causing any damage to the village. This has been the practice for the last 150 years ever since an old saint meditated with this volume of the holy Granth.

Domegaon is about 80 km from Ahmednagar and 22 km from Shrirampur. Belapur Railway Station is the nearest railway station, about one kilometer from Shrirampur Bus Stand. Pune Lohegaon Airport, about 110 km from Ahmednagar, is the nearest airport.
