Doi Maach

Fish with curd

A popular Bengali recipe, Doi Maach is a non-vegetarian dish. It is a curry of fish cooked in the gravy of onion-ginger-garlic pastes, chilly powder, green chilly and spices along with yogurt. The fish is marinated and fried before cooking. Prepared in mustard oil, it is a delicately flavored dish. Doi Maach garnished with coriander leaves tastes good with steamed rice.
