Dogra Art Museum




Dogra Art Museum, established in 1954, is located in the Pink Hall of the Mubarak Mandi Palace Complex in Jammu.

It showcases a rare collection of Pahari paintings and Basoli school of paintings. Persian hand written manuscripts of Shahnama and Sikendernama and a stone plate on which Takri script had been inscribed are some of the other exhibits. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan's gold plated bow and arrow, sculptures, terracottas, coins, historic arms, textiles, photographs of various monuments in Jammu and a number of carpentry tools are the other major artifacts on display.

The museum also has library facilities.

Dogra Art Museum is open from 08:00 to 13:30 hrs during summer and 10:30 to 16:00 hrs during winter. It remains closed on Mondays and other State Holidays.
