Dodra and Kwar

Dodra and Kwar Villages are located near Rohru in Shimla District. The villages are separated from each other only by few kilometers, and these tracts are connected by Chanshal Pass. A unique feature is that the lands remain in its natural splendor and are inaccessible by motor-able roads.

Wild flowers, medicinal herbs, thick woods of rhododendron, waterfalls and fast-flowing streams make this an awe-inspiring venue. All these are set in the backdrops of high peaks, which are noted for their majestic beauty.

A number of temples, each associated with a legend, can be seen here. The temples are fine examples of architecture splendor, which in turn are the result of skilled craftsmen.
