Diving in Andamans




Diving in Andamans is a unique lifetime experience. The coastal water surrounds these Islands is the home of one of the richest coral reef ecosystem in the world.

Some of the diving sites near South Andaman Island are Cinque Island, North Point, Fish Rock, Bala Reef, Pilot Reef, Minerva Ledge, and Snake Island off Corbyn’s Cove Beach. The specialty of these islands are the coral reefs and under water marine life are undamaged by human activity. A large number of steeply sloping and shallow reefs are also suitable for snorkeling.

Coral varieties found here are acropora, pocillopora, montipora, leptoseris, fungia, portis, tubipora and Gorgonians. Various species such nurse shark, silvertip shark, ocean white tip and leopard shark are seen close to the shore.

The best season for diving is from December to April.
