District Archaeological Museum




District Archaeological Museum at Vidisha is noted for its rich treasure of artifacts. Vidisha is about 53 km south-east of Bhopal.

The museum has a collection of ancient sculptures, terracotta, coins and earthen seals. It also showcases some important specimens, which are the images containing the Ramagupta inscriptions, the yaksha and yakshi from Besanagar and Surya and Chamunda figures.

Visitors are permitted between 10:00 and 17:00 hrs on all working days except on Mondays.
