Dirgheswari Temple




Dirgheswari Temple is located on the northern banks of the Brahmaputra River, in Guwahati. It dates back to the 11th century. It is dedicated to the Goddess Durga, and is considered one of the supreme Durga temples in the state. Durga Puja is performed annually, and buffalo sacrifice is done on this occasion.
