Dina Nath Nadim




Dina Nath Nadim (1916–1988) was an eminent poet who revolutionized the content of Kashmiri poetry. He led the new cultural movement that spearheaded Kashmir’s literary renaissance in 1947. He was also a staunch supporter of the radical agrarian reform of giving ‘land to the tiller’. Dina Nath Nadim made significant experiments in techniques and recreated the vogue of writing lullabies and labor chants. Nadim passed away in 1988.
