Dibang Valley District




The Dibang Valley lies on the boundary of India and China. Dibang Valley District is bounded by East Siang District in the west, the state of Assam in the south, and Lohit District in south-east. It covers an area of 13,029 sq km. The district headquarters is at Anini.

The highest peak in Dibang Valley District is Mayudiya which is 2,443 m above sea level. It is located on the Roing-Anini road and is 52 km away from the district headquarters. There are two helipads, one at Anini and the other at Roing. The important tourist attractions are Bhismaknagar, Rukmini Nati, Ita Pukhuri and Mehao wildlife sanctuary. Tinsukia Junction Railway Station is the nearest railway station, 338 km away from the district headquarters.
