Dhyanalinga Temple




Dhyanalinga is a multi religious temple in the Yoga Center, about 30 km from Coimbatore, at the foothills of Velliangiri Mountains. The temple is considered as the largest mercury-based live linga in the world. It is built of single black granite stone with seven copper rings. Its spiritual center is made up of white granite in the form of a seven coiled snake. The white granite Sarvadharma Sthamba pillar of the temple is carved with the symbols of major religions of the world. The sanctum sanctorum is made of traditional materials like bricks, red mud, lime and herbal additives.

The nearby airport is Coimbatore Peelamedu Airport, at a distance of 10 km from the city. The nearest railhead is Coimbatore Junction Railway Station.
