Dhuriapar is an ancient township situated in the Bansgaon taluk of Gorakhpur District. It is on the way to Belghat from Bansgaon. Dhuriapar was named after its founder, Raja Dhur Chand. History recounts that Raja Dhur Chand established his Kaushik Kingdom here, along the northern bank of the Ghaghra in the 14th century, after driving out the Bhars. Dhuriapar is 46 km from Gorakhpur and 20 km from Bansgaon. Gorakhpur Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Nearest airport is Varanasi Airport.
