Dhundi




Dhundi is a scenic village located four km from Solang in Kullu District. It lies at an elevation of about 9,000 ft, along the Beas Kund trek route. It is surrounded by forests of pine and rhododendron shrubs. Dhundi offers a panoramic view of the Indrasan Peak, Deo Tibba, Friendship Peak and Hanuman Tibba. The region is rich with alpine flowers from June to mid September. River Beas flows through it. Nearby tourist destinations are Bakar Thatch, Rohtang Pass, Ladyleg, Solang Pass and Beas Kund Glacier. It is an ideal base for trekking, mountaineering and paragliding. Base camps are available.

Kullu Manali Airport at Bhuntar is the nearest airport. Joginder Nagar Railway Station and Shimla Railway Station are the nearest main railway stations.
