Dharwas




Dharwas is a picturesque village situated in Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh. It is the largest village in the Pangi Valley. The village lies near the Jammu and Kashmir border on the Dalhousie-Kishtwar trek toute. ‘Thangi’ (hazelnut tree) is grown in and around the village. Chenab River flows through the village.

Dharwas is famous for the natural spring of mineral water, Tilmili. Killar, Luj, Ishatahari, Bindrabani, Purthi, Sach Pass and Atholi are nearby tourist destinations. Dharwas is an ideal base for trekking. Base camps are available.

Nearest airport is the Gaggal Airport and the nearest railway station is at Pathankot in Punjab.
