Dharwar




Dharwar is a major town situated in Giridih District of Jharkhand. It is on the state highway connecting Jamua and Bagodar. The town is around 30 km south of Kowar and 19 km west of Markacho.

Devari Temple and Shri Rujuvaluka Teerth are sacred sites to visit.

Dhab (29 km west), Gawan (24km north), Karihari (7 km east), Kharagdiha (19 km east), Barki Saria (29 km south) and Koiridih (32 km south) are located around Dharwar. Short excursions can be arranged to Maheshmunda St Pius X Church, Usri Falls and Khandoli Park.

Dharwar is well connected by road with Giridih. Giridih Railway Station and Ranchi Airport are the nearest major railway station and airport respectively.
