Dharasu is a picturesque village situated 28 km from Uttarkashi in Uttarkashi District. It lies at an elevation of 1,036 m, on the Char Dham trek route. Bhagirathi River flows close by. A road linking Bhagirathi Valley and Yamuna Valley passes through Dharasu. It nestles among densely wodded forests of pine, oak and rhododendron. The place offers spectacular views of snow-capped mountains and deep valleys all around. Nearby places to visit are Rari Pass, Gangotri (129 km), Tehri (37 km), Kuthanur, Yamunotri (40 km) and Maneri. Forest Rest House is available for stay.
