Dhanor




Dhanor is a small town situated on the banks of the Wardha River, right on Wardha District’s border with Amaravati District, in Maharashtra. It is situated 14 km south of Arni and 13 km from Virul. Chikaldara Wildlife Sanctuary, Gugamal National Park, Melghat Tiger Reserve, Wan Sanctuary, Painganga Wildlife Sanctuary and Bor Wildlife Sanctuary are nearby wilderness spots, ideal for a one-day trip. Other places of tourist interest include Gandhiji's Ashram at Sevagram, Vinoba Bhave's Paunar Ashram, Mahakali Dam, Sahstrakund Waterfalls and Chintamani of Kalamb. Nearest airport : Sonegaon Airport
