Dhamma Salila is located at Jaitanwala, about 16 km from
Dehradun, the capital of
Uttaranchal. Founded in 1995, the center lies on a 6 acre of green land in a mountain valley next to a charming river.
The center aims at promoting the practice of Vipassana, one of India's most ancient meditation techniques. Vipassana is the practical spirit of the teachings of Buddha, who taught Dhamma - the Universal Law of Nature.
Dhamma Salila offers regular ten day meditation courses for its students. Children's courses are also conducted through out the year. The center has a meditation hall and residence for students.
Dhamma Salila can be easily accessed by bus from Dehradun. Dehradun Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
