Dhama




Dhama is a beautiful town situated about 25 km from Sambalpur. This is a holy place lying close to the bank of the Mahanadi River. Huma Lord Shiva Temple is the main attraction at Dhama. This shrine is compared to the famous leaning tower of Pisa because the temple inclines at an angle of 45 degrees to the ground. Boating and fishing facilities are easily available for the tourists. Samaleshwari Temple and Hirakud Dam are nearby. Sambalpur Railway Station on the Raipur-Jharsuguda rail line is the major railhead nearby (25 km).
